Most RAM Mounts ball mounts are constructed from marine-grade aluminium, topped with black anodised coating, and a rubber ball attached.
During the manufacturing process, it's common for the coating to appear a little chipped away or have rough edges that do not cover the stem beneath the ball completely. This is simply part of the manufacturing process of connecting the rubber ball.
DON'T STRESS
THIS IS TOTALLY NORMAL AND DOES NOT AFFECT THE QUALITY, OR THE LIFE OF THE PRODUCT AT ALL
Almost all of the RAM Mounts currently on our shelves (thousands and thousands) appear like this, without exception.
