Add a compact ball base to a round bicycle or motorcycle handlebar with the RAM Tough-Strap RAP-B-460U. Its strap tightens with a knob and connects to a separately sold RAM B-size socket arm and suitable device holder or camera adapter.

This listing supplies one complete handlebar base with its straps and installation hardware. Socket arm, device holder, camera adapter, device and safety tether are not included. The base has a 1-inch ball, not a camera tripod screw.

Handlebar fit

Measure the outside diameter of your round handlebar before ordering. Use the combination specified in the RAM Tough-Strap assembly guide:

• 0.875–1 inch (22.2–25.4 mm): short strap with short rubber strip
• 1–1.125 inches (25.4–28.6 mm): short strap with long rubber strip, cut to fit
• 1.125–1.25 inches (28.6–31.8 mm): long strap with short rubber strip
• 1.25–1.38 inches (31.8–35.1 mm): long strap with long rubber strip

The overall 0.875–1.38-inch range requires these different combinations. Adhere the selected strip to its strap as shown in the guide. Fit on aero, oval, tapered or otherwise non-round bars has not been verified.

Compatibility

Connect the ball to a matching 1-inch RAM B-size double socket arm. The upper end of the arm also needs a compatible holder or device adapter. A 1.5-inch C-size socket is not suitable.

For a compatible camera with a 1/4-inch-20 tripod socket, a separately sold RAP-B-379U-252025 threaded camera ball and RAM-B-201U-A short arm provide a mounting route. Check thread depth, clearance, case or cage fit and secure seating for your actual camera. GoPro-style fingers and proprietary camera connections require their own suitable adapter.

Help

Check the complete mounted load, reach, vibration, handlebar strength and clearance around cables, controls and steering. Do not obstruct the rider's view or safe vehicle operation. Inspect the strap, knob and joints before use and follow the camera manufacturer's retention guidance. The rubber strips protect and grip the bar; this is not a dedicated vibration-damping assembly.
