Retain a standard Zebra ET40 or ET45 8-inch tablet with Zebra Rugged Boot SG-ET4X-8EXOSKL1-01 while supplying power through the docking contacts and connecting one USB-A peripheral. The key lock helps deter removal. The side scanner stays accessible, and the dock accommodates the Zebra Expansion Back and PowerPack Battery.

Compatibility

The exact 8-inch Rugged Boot is required and must be supplied separately. This listing covers standard 8-inch ET40/ET45 tablets. The 10-inch models, healthcare variants and IntelliSkin configurations are outside this verified fit. A bare tablet needs a separate compatible RAM insert, which is not included.

Power and data

A separately supplied compatible regulated 12 V DC source connects to the dock's 5.5 mm female DC jack. RAM specifies RAM-GDS-CHARGE-V10-1U for a verified 10–30 V vehicle supply, or RAM-GDS-CHARGE-V9U for a verified 20–60 V supply. Select the converter by the vehicle's full operating voltage range; these are alternatives, not two required purchases. Do not connect the dock directly to an unregulated vehicle supply or substitute a 19 V converter.

The attached USB 2.0 Type-A female lead supports one peripheral, with published limits of 500 mA and 12 Mbps. Power + Data does not mean USB-C Power Delivery.
