This long-arm RAM support is designed to reduce unwanted movement of a stowed trolling motor during travel. Fasten the round plate to a suitable mounting surface and secure the Tough-Claw around the motor shaft; the long C size arm adjusts between the two.

The Tough-Claw tightens by hand, while its rubber pads improve grip and help protect the motor shaft.

RAM’s rubber ball-and-socket system provides adjustment at both ends of the arm and helps dampen shock and vibration.

For an alternative device-mounting setup, its AMPS plate can accept a separately selected compatible holder or dock. Trolling motor, boat, device and holder shown in application images are not included.

Help

For an alternative device-mounting setup, the supplied holder-side round plate presents the 4-hole AMPS (30 x 38mm) pattern for a matching flat-backed holder or dock. A holder with its own compatible 1.5" C size ball can attach directly to the arm instead, without the upper plate. Match the holder’s connection and ball size before choosing the setup.

Check shaft diameter, mounting-surface strength and the motor’s stowed position before fitting. This kit is a trolling-motor stabiliser in its own right.

Include the holder, device and attached accessories when checking the load. Choose the heavy-duty rating for more demanding conditions and follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
