The RAM-101-G2U is a genuine RAM Mounts double-ball kit for compatible Garmin fishfinder and GPSMAP swivel mounts. A standard-length arm connects two round C-size ball plates, allowing the display position and viewing angle to be adjusted at both ends.

The Garmin-side plate connects beneath the compatible original Garmin swivel mounting assembly. Keep the correct Garmin swivel base, bail bracket and retaining knobs. This kit does not replace the device-specific Garmin bracket or cradle.

Compatibility and installation

Retain the original swivel/bail assembly for your compatible Garmin device and check its actual underside mounting pattern. Confirm the exact Garmin model and mounting interface before ordering; a similar-looking Garmin mount may use different hardware. This G2 kit includes #6-32 screws and nut inserts, rather than the #8-32 hardware supplied with the G4 version.

The included lower round plate provides a drill-down mounting point on a suitable flat surface. Surface-specific screws, backing, sealant and installation materials are not supplied. Choose them for the surface and supported load.

Using the kit on a rail

A compatible C-size rail base is sold separately. When substituting a suitable rail base for the lower RAM-202U plate, use the kit's existing RAM-201U arm and Garmin adapter. The supplied lower round plate remains unused in that rail configuration and can be retained for another suitable installation. An additional arm is not required. Check the rail diameter, clamp range and clearance before choosing a rail base.

Before use

Check the complete supported display, retained Garmin bracket and any added accessories against the mounting arrangement. Marine vibration, leverage and the strength of the mounting surface affect suitability. Follow Garmin's installation instructions, allow room for cables and confirm that the arm and all fasteners are secure.

Fishfinder, transducer, Garmin swivel/bail assembly, rail base and installation-specific surface fasteners are not included.
