    Necessary

I contacted Modest Mounts and they said all of the phone mounts com with a tether when purchased - but I bought my xgrip second-hand off gumtree and never got one. My brother used it on his kawasaki and was involved in a minor crash and his phone got messed up on the road. he blamed the xgrip but i saw videos online showing the rubber tether was needed for bike use. he knows now lol but hes an idiot. Anywy max from modest mounts told me about the tether and said id need it for motorbike use. ive used it ever since. Defintly use it everyone, very necessary
