A track-mounted assembly combining a B-size RAM Track Ball, medium double socket arm and diamond AMPS plate. It provides an adjustable connection for a compatible holder on an existing suitable mounting track.

A device holder or cradle and the device are sold separately.

• Track-base hardware: one friction washer and one stainless 1/4-20 × 7/8-inch (22.2 mm) T-bolt.
• T-bolt head: 0.48 × 0.95 inches (12.2 × 24.1 mm).
• Track ball: high-strength composite; arm and plate: marine-grade aluminium.
• Ball and socket system: B size, 1 inch (25.4 mm).
• Medium arm: 3.73 inches (94.7 mm) overall; 3 inches (76.2 mm) socket-to-socket.
• Diamond plate: 2.43 × 1.31 inches (61.7 × 33.3 mm); two-hole AMPS spacing 1.912 inches (48.6 mm).
• RAM’s published B-size component ratings: 2 lb (0.91 kg) standard use and 1 lb (0.45 kg) heavy-duty use. The supporting track, leverage, vibration and full holder-and-device load must also be assessed.

Compatibility

The supplied diamond plate is for a flat-backed holder with a matching two-hole AMPS attachment. Check the holder’s thread and screw length before assembly. A holder with its own B-size ball can connect directly into the arm instead of the supplied upper plate. Use the matching ball size; B-size and C-size balls and sockets do not interchange.

Help

A compatible track is required and is sold separately. RAM names its Tough-Track system for these Track Balls; check any other track’s slot, undercut, entry access and load capacity against the T-bolt dimensions. Confirm that the washer and T-bolt clamp securely. This is not a universal-fit promise for all tracks.
