Today we're going to take a look at the RAM® X-Grip® series for phones. The RAM® X-Grip® is a rugged universal spring-loaded holder that will support any phone with or without a case or sleeve.

By simply expanding the arms out, laying the device against the holder, and then releasing it, the phone is secured in place. The ports, buttons and camera remain accessible and functional while the phone is in the holder.

There are two main sizes of RAM® X-Grip® phone holders. The smaller holder is referred to as the UN7 series, and the larger holder is referred to as the UN10 series. If you see UN7 or UN10 in the part number, that tells you which size holder you are looking at.

Every RAM® X-Grip® comes with an optional tether. The tether can wrap around the corners of the device if you have it mounted in an open cockpit application or a rough environment. The optional tether provides extra protection.

The back of the X-Grip integrates a 1 inch rubber ball that works with RAM double ball and socket mounting systems. The double ball and socket mount allows you to configure the angle and position of the mount, then tighten it in place for a rugged setup. This allows the holder to be mounted in a vehicle, on a motorcycle, in an aircraft cockpit, or virtually anywhere.

The housing on the X-Grip is made of high-strength composite, and the arms are made from stainless steel with rubber-coated tips to protect the device. The decal offers friction to help keep the device from sliding while in the holder, and durable rubber is used on the ball and socket components.
