Hi everyone This is Rick with RAM® Mounts and today I'd like to introduce to you the RAM Pod HD Universal rugged vehicle mounting system this system is made up of several parts Total But if you look on the base portion this has a slotted foot base that can align and conform to the Passenger side seatb in your vehicle and then adapting to a pipe and double Ball and socket mounting system At The Top the round plate can Connect to the back of any Universal or form fitting ram cradle or any other device that Lines up with the holes so you can put any handheld device such as a Tablet in your vehicle for any rugged environment in this example We have the ram Tab tight system Which is Holding An iPad Air in An autobox case the back of the taptite has the same hole pattern to align with the Top Of The RAM Pod HD This is just one of many examples so you can Mount virtually any Tablet in your vehicle for any rugged environment Thanks to the RAM Pod HD so Let's take a Closer look now at the ramp HD to see how this all goes Together As You can see on the base portion you have a long slotted foot base that Can adapt to a Wide variety of different vehicles and the The installation is slightly different for each vehicle depending on Where You're installing this you also have some Extra holes for adapting any foot stabilizers to give Extra stabilization to the system depending on how you have this foot base mounted you'll see that There are two different ratchet adapters connected onto this foot base and then connecting to either side depending on What's more convenient in your vehicle You would adopt this ratchet post connector shown here Where this attaches with a tooth lock system and then you Simply pass through carriage Bolt and with a couple Of washers You can Connect the knob provided and This Is All done After The foot base is installed in the vehicle so when you have this inside you'll have the ratchet pipe socket facing straight upward and then you Insert a 12inch long pipe that goes on the inside and then this tightens in place with they provided knob on the side here and then Coming off Out The Top is a ram Ball of the C size That is 1/2 in in diameter so you Simply Clamp on the standard length double socket arm made of Marine grade aluminum and then The Second Ball component which contains the industry standard amps hole pattern for connecting to any Universal or form fitting ram cradle the double Ball and socket Mount gives approximately An Extra 6 inches of length and articulation to the Mount and then you tighten the entire system Together by tightening down on this knob at the top to complete the system ch
