RAM® Mounts Motorcycle Gas Tank Mount - Overview & Installation
This video introduces the RAM® motorcycle gas tank flange mount and shows how it creates a low-profile B size mounting point near the tank on selected motorcycles.
What this video covers
This video introduces the RAM® motorcycle gas tank flange mount and shows how it can be installed to create a low-profile mounting point near the tank. The mount uses a 1 inch B size RAM® ball and marine-grade aluminium construction.
The installation section explains how the segmented mounting holes line up with different gas tank flange bolt patterns. It also shows the importance of choosing replacement screws that are longer than the original factory bolts, keeping track of which screw came from each hole, and tightening the base evenly by hand before final adjustment.
Once installed, the B size ball can be paired with a compatible RAM® arm and device holder for a phone, GPS, camera or similar device.
