This tool-free RAM rail mounting kit is built around the medium Tough-Claw clamp. Its medium B size arm and diamond plate provide an adjustable connection for a compatible holder or accessory with the 2-hole AMPS pattern.

The clamp can be moved between suitable round, square and irregular rails; check the rail shape and clearance as well as its size.

RAM’s rubber ball-and-socket system provides adjustment at both ends of the arm and helps dampen shock and vibration.

A compatible holder or accessory and device are sold separately.

Help

The supplied holder-side diamond plate presents the 2-hole AMPS (48.56mm centre-to-centre) pattern for a matching flat-backed holder or dock. A holder with its own compatible 1" B size ball can attach directly to the arm instead, without the upper plate. Match the holder’s connection and ball size before choosing the setup.

This kit uses the medium Tough-Claw for 1"–1.6" (25.4–40.64mm) round rails. Check the rail’s outside diameter and clearance.

Include the holder, device and attached accessories when checking the load. Choose the heavy-duty rating for more demanding conditions and follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
