The RAP-S-KNOB3-5U features of a 1/4"-20 female threaded security knob and key knob. The RAM 5 Pin-Lock Security Knob B-Size replaces all knobs on 1" diameter B size arms and mounts. This product offers the perfect amount of leverage to tighten your mount correctly and prevent slippage in rugged applications and extreme vibration environments.
With an emphasis on aesthetics and function, the RAP-S-KNOB3-5U is low in profile and only adds a small amount of additional bulk to your system when compared to the standard knob included. AustraliaEasy to swap over from the original RAM thumb nut to the new security knob. It does not add a huge amount of bulk but be aware that you have to leave sufficient clearance to use the key which has a reasonable girth (63mm including securing loop). Once fitted, you have just made your valuable RAM mounts harder to steal. I have 4 security knobs fitted to my BMW R1200GS Adventure and feel confident that all my RAM mounts will still be there when I return to the bike. Obviously, don’t leave your gadgets unattended as they can still be stolen. Well worth the investment and way cheaper than replacing stolen mounts.
