The RAM-B-189BU consists of a double 3.3" twist lock suction cup base. Included is a hole pattern that will allow attachment to all RAM bases that contain the universal AMPs hole pattern. 
Recommended when supporting items of a heavier weight, such as tablets. For phones, cameras and GPS devices, we recommend the single RAM-B-224-1U base.

The above video also features the RAM-B-101U-C mount arm,
as well as the RAM-HOL-UN9U Universal Tablet Holder
(however this can be replaced by any tablet cradle on our website).

• What ball base do I use with this dual suction cup mount?

  Any of our ball bases that have a 4-hole AMPS hole pattern will provide a solid connection to this base mount. For B-Size components, go with the RAM-B-202U. For C-Size components, go with the RAM-202U

• How much weight can it hold?

  This item is intended to be used with up to C-sized components, which are rated for 4lbs devices and up to 3lbs with heavy duty use.

• Would this work on an aluminium boat transom?

  As long as boat's surface is entirely non-porous then it should work. Any small, even microscopic air pockets can cause the suction cups to loose their holding power over time and could eventually fall, which is why for all suction cup products we recommend only for windshields and any non-porous surface.
